Default jEstErFAQ - How do I search PWRX effectively?

Ok so here is the first in hopefully a series of FAQs we will smash together to make living in pdiddy a wonderful experience for all. Once a few more have been put together I will make an index page and hopefully that will make it harder for people to use and we can go back to abusing them for not searching.

One of the most common reply’s in a thread these days is "OMG USE TEH SAERCH NEWB". But sometimes it’s not that easy! Admittedly the search function is not as fantastic as it could be. It ignores small words as to search these would make the database super huge and make searches take longer. The problem with this is, being in internet world we love abbreviations. So while you might be thinking of having Maximum Motorsport install your blow-off valve, or All Star Garage replace the synchromesh gears in your 5 speed gearbox, doing a search for “MMS BOV” or “ASG 5spd box” can often not get the results your after.

Enter: the googles. Google search is pretty powerful on the whole of the interweb, but it also caches Perth-WRX and can be very handy for searching. If you can’t find what you’re after using the traditional search method, go to www.google.com.au or your google search bar and do a site specific search. To do this type in the search bar:
Code:
site:perth-wrx.com {stuff I’m searching for}

In this case I have searched for a subject very close to my heart:

After that you'll be able to browse the results in google, an click through to the topic on pwrx.
