fmic definately increases lag, definately reduces throttle response.

its all a matter of physics:
20 litres of air takes longer to move and takes longer to pressurise to 1 bar then 5 litres of air.

the only advantage of a fmic is less rapid changes in intake air temps. also they are not immune to engine heat-soak or hot air temps from overworked turbos, they just take longer to get hot in peak traffic/hot days.
