Steering wheel update:

Went to see how the shift light wheel was progressing by John @fastacraft. It is looking how i described it to John.. The light is recessed inside the top of the wheel.

The carbon that is on there is approximately where the carbon will be the rest will be done in alcantra material.. The carbon that is on there now was to make sure that the pre-preg could be used and vacum bagged and put in the oven.. This has turned out fine so pre-preg will be used for the remainder..

There will be carbon over the top of it and gradually angle so that it isnt a sharp box at the bottom of the wheel.. There will be a smoke grey polycarbonate over the light so you cant see it until it lights up..

there will be a tubing placed inside the wheel that wires can be feed through to the middle where they will join up to the clock wheel in the steering hub..

This is going to turn out better than i imagined. Thinking of making some side panels for functional switches also aka ferrari wheel..
