I have EziTrack,

It is self monitored. That is, I have to pay for the phone SIM (around $8 a month)
in the unit. When something goes wrong (alarm, tow away etc) the unit
rings my mobile. I can also lock/unlock doors and kill engine from my phone.

At any time you can ring the car up and you get a nice female voice
which guides you through a menu system like online banking. From there you
can GPS position, speed, kill engine etc...

Installed it myself and integrates well with existing alarm, timer and anti-hijack.
