Pad types are what determines wear rates of rotors and heat generated.

IMO slotted are for looks. Blanks will perform just as well and are cheaper. If anything slotted rotors will reduce the life of the pads. Use an aggressive pad for the track meets and change rotors when they are shot. I use the 750 deg QFM pads on my car for daily and the occasional skidpan. Dust shields removed, decent fresh fluids and all works well.
Joking right? So why do all race cars use a type of slotted disk?
