Well I've had my car almost exactly a year (to the day) and it decided have a party in my garage overnight (I assume with the sexy red Honda motorbike) and not start in the morning.
Got in, turn key (no keypad lights), click click. Hmm ok, must be battery. Put the battery on charge, got it to 50% tried again, the keypad barely lights up and still no start. Gave up, left the trickle charge on and called a taxi.
Just got back to it now (3 days later) and the car starts, however the only light illuminated on the keypad is the letter "1" and is doesn't ask me for my code. When the car is running the number "5" is the only key lit. I'm assuming that the flat battery has caused it to reset and thus clear my code.
I've got the security system manual, which is less use than a chocolate fire-guard and doesn't give any directions to setting a new passcode.
Am I right in thinking this is the cause? And if so, how do I go about setting a code?
