Hi David PM Sent.

Due to the earthquake that rocked Japan couple of months ago, production is still slow.
A lot of questions being asked about how to tell the authencity of the Bride seats. I try to answer them as best as I can.

Best answer I can tell you: The quality of Genuine Bride seats are there to speak for themselves. Chinese copies are not even close --- they will look like the Autotech... seat quality you see at cheap automotive shops.

Or an even easier answer: Buy safely from Evolution R who imports genuine parts direct.

I have seen so many imitation copies from HKS blow-off valves to turbo timers, even here in P.WRX. I have been reluctant to answer as I do not want to disclose too much info for wannabes to copy further.

Couple of things to note on Bride seats:

1) Genuine Brides seats will have to the option of Bride rails. Dimensions on Genuine Bride seats are very specific. Chinese/ Taiwanese copies will not be able to use these rails as the mounting points are made all wrong.

See below for illustration:

2) In the past, Japan was more laxed with the certification of their seats. I have pointed out to them that the influx of Chinese copies are rampant and that all Australian delievered Bride seats must have the ASEA sticker and warranty cards.

Below are the pics of these stickers for illustration purposes.:

3) Also, all Australian delivered Bride seats and rails will now come with Bride manuals.

See below for illustration (deliberately blurred out to protect cheap imitators):
