Cheers boys. I've had a look into some of the other smaller 4wds I.e Rav4s, Hyundai Sante Fes and Terracans. The Rav4 seems to have the best towing capacity out of the lot andd is marginally cheaper than a foz of the same MY. My grandparents used to have one which they used to tow their small caravan when doing the grey migration as well as using it offroad at beaches such as Myalup and Tims Thicket. Pop used to have an awesome 80 something or rather Vitara that he'd give shit on the beach
I know which 4wd I would prefer if we had the space and need for a big one and that would be either a Lancruiser or Patrol. Growing up as a beach bum with 4wd beaches right next door to my house dad taught us all how to drive and I absolutley hate driving his Navara on the beach. The clutch is horrible and the power steering doesn't make beach driving fun. I loved driving the troopie and Patrol he used to have
