Okay, Jason from Free DB installed all my components yesterday and everything turned out very well.
Once everything was installed and the stereo was turned on there was a sharp, constant, sound coming from the speakers. Jason then earthed the RCA leads at the deck. Thankfully this completely eliminated the sharp sound. He thinks it is because I have an alpine amp combined with JBL and Pioneer speakers.
On the downside, as I exited the store I scrapped my front left guard on the kerb (which I didn't see)
. This also gave my front left wheel some kerb rash
. It isn't a huge deal but it sucks considering taking care of my car is my priority.
My plan is to fix the guard and wheel asap. (Eventhough it is hardly noticeable from a distance.
Overall I recommend Jason to anyone looking to get a professional to install their stereo.
