I agree that it does look a bit high / awkward. And yet it still has one of the lowest COG of any (cheap) production car - by a long way.
Also its still only ~1285mm (50.6 in.) high... 20 cm lower then the current WRX
Not as low as an rx7 (1229 mm) of course.
I've attached a pic of a Betty and the concept version overlayed. Can't vouch for the accuracy but it was all measured relative to wheelbase apparently. Of course the concept is lower then the production but still a good (rough) idea of its size.
