I kinda don't get this.
I have tooled around with 1/10th scale electric cars/buggies for years on and off.
For me the joy is in building and maintaining them.
You drive em, they break, you strip em and then fix em. Then drive again.
$200 is about what you pay for one in servicable condition but will most probably have problems. So you run it, find out what is broken, then fix it.
This does not include carrying on about warranties of phoning up and abusing the person you bought it off.
