With the lag I see it like this. Yes there is more volume to fill of pressurised air prior to reaching the throttle body. However a turbo is not on or off, it progressively builds up volume and along with it pressure, until it gets into its effiency range. By the time the turbo is in its sweet spot the FMIC piping will be mostly pressurised?
