Default Diy boot install

hey guys,

decided as I'm poor and can't afford to have some one make one for me i would create my own boot install and leave regular posts for any one interested in building one themselves as it can be quiet intimidating to do.

this is my first attempt so any help appreciated any info would be great.

the install will include:

*1 pioneer champion sub
*1 alpine MRP 1000 mono block
*1 alpine MRF 600 4 channel amp.

the boot install is going to be relevant to any gd shaped boot and will leave access to the spare wheel. it will also leave a stock look well as much as a visible sub in the boot with two amps can look stock.

there will be a full mdf flooring in the boot and the sub will be situated at the back of the boot up against the rear seat with both amps visible through appropriate sized slots on angles either side of the sub.

this will be left flush.

one thing i do need to know is should the mdf floor have sound deadening under it or on top of it I'm assuming under it??

step 1
go to bunnings buy lots of mdf and screws and take them home : D

step 2
mark out flooring shape on mdf

i used the boot carpet as a guide for tracing out the flooring but some adjustments were made i used four individual pieces of mdf rather then two i felt it would make it easier to put together and work with.

will post up as i go only spent about 2 hrs on it today but will do more asap.

any questions or tips appreciated
