that number was lowered to that number by insurance companies during the storm period because of the number of cars being damaged. It's normally around 75-80% depending on your insurer. The last 20% they try and make back from selling the wreck at auction, and then any shortfall is made up by their insurances.

Alberto should check his PDS, see what the outlined number of days is for a 'missing' vehicle and then follow that route. Chances are, they'll pay him out, then when or if the car is recovered, it is the problem of the insurance company.
