Talking about silicone Joe. You'd be needing to pull really high numbers to make one of these to distort with a good air flow getting to them.....or have a badly blocked filter, they are jammed in pretty tight and not exactly flimsy and they are 4 or 5 layer silicone, I've bought 5 I think for other people without eBay accounts in the past & they've never been a problem.
When I bought mine years ago I showed it to Wisbey and the guy that did rally development for MRT and they couldn't fault it, let alone believe the price I'd paid.
