Anyone do the pirtek fishing comp on sunday 15th that just passed? For WA it was golden travelly and Bream.
I was in it up here in karratha targeting golden travelly, did very poorly due to no movement in the tides, fish dont feed on small tides and they were the smallest possible... as i always say no flow no go... Anyway, got only 1 52cm travelly all day.
Had comp winning fish swimming around the boat for over 7 hours, took me 3 hours to find them in the morning, they wouldnt take anything i tried.
The fish were a good 900 to 1metre at about the 8kg mark... Wasnt a happy chappy, but thats fishing isnt it i guess... next year!
