The DCCD does help somewhat by unloading the clamp force on the centre coupling whenever the handbrake switch wire goes to earth. Although non DCCD cars will still do a handbraky if done right. The bigger diameter handbrake drum on the STi version definately helps.
You will sometimes get a ABS warning light until all the wheels speed match again afterwards and during that time you will experience a hard, innefective brake pedal. Tip:-practice where there's absolutely nothing to hit in any direction and not on a double demerit weekend.
