Ok update time!
Just for anyone thinking of doing this... The double pin mechanism that holds the gear shift knuckle onto the gearbox... That thing is a fucking cunt to get off!
Finally got the back casing off, was kinda hoping the viscous coupling was shattered after all this effort but it wasn't...
In fact it looked really good... Fuck. Pulled it apart and seen it wasn't so great. See pics below. It has really heated up and done some major damage.
All put back together (the gearbox and casing) and called it a night.
Tomorrow diff and drive train.
