2002 onwards (Bugeye) STi have AVCS, 2003 onwards WRX (Peanut) have AVCS.
They kept building the 2002 STi into 2003, so you can buy a 2003 build year STi and it will be a Bugeye, whereas MY03 WRX will always be a Peanut
