If you paid for ultimate roadside assistance with RAC each year (as i do), it would have been a free tow from when your car broke down to your place (perhaps saving your engine from your old man). And then a free tow to the mechanic too.

Have had 3 tows for free from the RAC in the past 2 years (not the Subaru). 2 of them weren't even my car, I'm just covered by my Roadside assistance because I was driving them.... One was my mates brother 4x4 from the middle of the bush near Nannup to Dunsborough after we popped a tyre and had no spare.....

Look into it for sure it will save you money and peace of mind seeing as you are cruising around in a 20+ y/old car
