Have had 3 tows for free from the RAC in the past 2 years (not the Subaru). 2 of them weren't even my car, I'm just covered by my Roadside assistance because I was driving them.... One was my mates brother 4x4 from the middle of the bush near Nannup to Dunsborough after we popped a tyre and had no spare.....
Look into it for sure it will save you money and peace of mind seeing as you are cruising around in a 20+ y/old car

I've had a string of bad luck. My debit/bank card was lost just prior to me applying for roadside assistance. I was able to get insured, but no rsa.
Next day my hood release cable snapped.
The following day, the splooging happened.
Sucked to be me last weekend.
