Sure have been - down 32kg in 2012... most of that in the last 3 or so months.
Would play a game of basketball (or at least waddle up and down a court) monday and tues. Wed and thurs was agony, knees so sore, could barely walk. Now I am playing both games hard, sometimes going to the gym before or after and not even feeling it afterwards. I stuck mostly to the bike/cross trainer to begin with. - I could walk for 60 min easily on the treadmill, but at the pace I had to go at to avoid pain it wasnt doing much. Bike would burn 2 x the energy, crosstrainer 2.5 times. Fitter and stronger than I have been ... almost ever.
Just the weight to go. 20kg or so.
