I was a gymnast for 13 years and one strict rule at the club was no jewelry, so wearing a watch is extremely foreign to me, and normally I can't wear one for more than 5-10 minutes. When I was in Toyko this year I grabbed a half decent watch to see if I could put up with it now I'm a bit older. So while hardly "awesome" as per OP, I've managed to keep it on my wrist for the last 6 months so might look at upgrading it next year. Japanese hate "last season" stuff, so this was ~$400 reduced to ~$85 as it was an outgoing model.
