Other than boost, if fuel and ignition, has nothing to do with the derivatives for driveability or 'area under the curve', then pass me a formula and we will just use a calculator.

Our tunes are not aimed at achieving max hp as our customers already know by now. Safety and driveabilty comes first. We spend more time getting driveability than WOT -- bragging statistics are not part of our agenda.

aiming for just a peak figure (a dyno-day tune) will usually have less 'area under the curve', vs a high performance more reliable tune.

also agreed, fuel and ignition maps do not correlate against 'area under the curve'.

as boost increases, ignition decreases.

also with motec i2 pro, you can use a derivative function to calculate the applicable area under the curve on your logs too.

remember its a tuning tool, not a bragging statistic.
