Just pointing out that "area under the curve" refers to the area under your torque or power line on a dyno print out. Not the shape of an ignition map etc.
It's quite simple, look at the dyno curve plotted and see the area under that curve. People want to maximise that and not have a big peaky triangle shaped curve. Not saying that EvoR does that, just talking in general of what people mean by this.
If I'm looking at a dyno plot, I only want to see massive area under the torque curve. That is what makes a great car.
