I have one cable that came back as a repaired unit, I'll locate it tonight when I get home and see if I can find what you have described above.
If you can't get this unit fixed or get in contact with Darren, I'm happy to lend you one of my spare cables until a time that yours has been replaced or repaired.
Let me know if this is suitable and I'll try and pass the cable off to some one who will be going down to Collie this weekend.
