So after pulling apart my cluster and getting down to the gauges I found that on the 06 cluster the teal green film that actually makes the color is behind a clear casing that is apart of the needle housing. So for someone who is good with electrics could easily pull it apart and remove the film but I didn't wanna run the risk of damaging the needles so gave up on removing it.
I read on a few threads that when "red wide spread LEDs" are used in place of the original bulb the colour can over power the teal film.
So I'm on the way to the shop I'll buy some LEDs put them in and see how it looks
