I used nail polish remover and cotton tips,
1) wedged one cotton tip behind the plastic housing to separate the gauge face
2) Flatttern a cotton tip so it can easily fit behind
3) dip the cotton tip in Nail polish remover and gently rub all the green film that you want to remove
4) using a dry cotton tip clean off the area
Repeating this method Slowly moving around the whole gauge
(I didn't use sand paper at all)
And just remember not to bump those needles at all or you'll have a broken cluster so pay close attention to your hand placement at all times
