Today's tune on MY06 STi.



This vehicle has had a prior tune done elsewhere and we were given the job to freshen it up.

This vehicle came in with a Spec C Twin scroll turbine setup, including Spec C headers and upipe. However, upon close examination at the last service, we found the headers to be leaking slightly, while the STi was very sluggish.

Once the leaks were repaired, Warick proceeded with the power run. Vehicle also had a slight misfire. AFRs were too lean as well. Once again, the AFM and spark plugs were the problem.

Note color of spark plug --- vehicle has been running too lean:


Below is a pic of the cracked insulator on the spark plug, caused by overtightening of the plug.


These were replaced by the JDM NGK Irimax Spark Plugs Evolution R stocks for the 2.5 boxers.
