If you buy them, look at getting a
UV marker and writing something on the back of the covers.
Take some photos before they go back on and store these in case this happens again in the future.
If it does happen again, rock up with photos printed off and date stamped, inspect the fog light covers and if they are yours, take them and leave.
Make a report at the police station on the way home if you want
