Hey everyone..
So I'm in the middle of my STI conversion, and now is time to look at a clutch for my 97 wrx. Now before I pulled the standard motor out, I believe I stuffed the thrust bearing or something. When the clutch was engaged (foot off the pedal) in neutral and in gear, it made a horrible loud buzzing/whining noise. Would that be the thrust bearing? Because now I've got the new motor it has what I believe to be the standard STI clutch still on it. Should I replace the thrust bearing and leave the standard clutch? Or should I opt for a new one? Which is best suited for a quick street car? I don't want to go so heavy that I make my standard gear box the weak link. I'm not too familiar with these stage 1-5 clutch kits
