It's not always a bad thing, but corners may be cut, less attention to detail, etc. Just something to be wary of. You would want to be very clear on exactly what you're getting and how much prep work they're going to do.
marC may be able to shed more light on this if he's around. Like any industry, there are a lot of cowboys out there.
+1 on TJ's suggestion, have a chat to Owen @ Meltham. He's organised a few members resprays and helped numerous others with smaller items (such as my spoiler) and rim repairs/painting. Good bloke.
