If this is being enforced. How long till the insurance companies follow suit.
I.e. Non-approved mod - > decline a claim.

Technically as the suspension and travel has been altered it needs an LS5 & LS6 engineering approval. But this really seems like a cash grab. The engineering report is around the $300-500 mark which make the whole deal rather unattractive.

By the way. Once the engineering report is issued, it needs to be mailed into the DPI for review. They then send out a letter to say you can take it in for pit inspection. Point is this can take another 2-3 weeks. Be surprised if you can get a turnaround on this in under 6 weeks. So reacting on a yellow sticker to get the engineering done can see the car hard parked.
Simpler to do as above and swap bits back and forth.
