I keep hearing about the O Ring left behind in the Cooler/ Housing but for some reason mine 100% HAS NO RECESS IN IT?? the filter's O - ring mates up to a Flat Surface yet seems everyone elses has a Recess in it??? from what I'm reading online, I checked the Sump Plug area and its fine.

Indeed the filter has the Recess for the O Ring but not the Cooler,I don't see how anyone could not see an O ring stuck to the Cooler, not on mine anyways..
