You have to be somewhat patient with The Wire - it's a great t.v series and it's only 5 seasons long, each is tied in with each other, without being directly tied in? you'll understand if you watch it. Lawyers and cops of Baltimore said that it's probably the most accurate t.v show about drugs/crime/police in comparison to what happens in the real world (writers are ex journo/police and supposedly some of the things in the show is what actually happened in their time of service). Ended up buying it on box set for $39 from jbhifi online (delivered).
Game of Thrones is a must watch.
Dexter is enjoyable, it was great when Sgt doakes was in it. Died down a bit, but I'm aching for the next season given the ending of the doomsday killer ..
For a bit of comedy, Men at Work might be worth a watch.
