Doug is right, servicing won't affect the alarm. Iffy alarm switch can be the cause of the false alarms after opening/closing the bonnet.

Happened to me after I did one of my monthly checks under the bonnet - never thought to link the false alarm to the bonnet switch until someone told me to check it.
