So this is my 2009 WRX, unfortunately only have the one photo right now taken by ADZ@OCDetailing.

Has been a reliable daily for over two years in it's stock form, but peer pressure to get into amateur motorsports meant some mods are due to stiffen the car up as well as some go fast bits.

My goal is to get maximum torque rather than outright power out of the stock VF52 turbo and hopefully call it a day

Anyway the current mod list is as follows..

Suspension Stuff (getting installed today )
-----------------
Perrin 25mm rear sway bar
Perrin end links
Whiteline KCA326 control arm upper bushings
Whiteline KCA334 anti-lift kit
BC BR coilovers

Engine Stuff
------------
Stock VF52
Stock Injectors
GSC 272 intake/exhaust cams, 10.5mm intake lift, 10.2mm exhaust lift
Supertech beehive valve springs
AEM cold air intake
Blitz SBC i-color boost controller (2nd hand, turns out the solenoid is stuffed)
Process West TMIC
Turbosmart kompact bypass valve
Ultrex 3" SS turbo back exhaust
Exedy HD clutch
Walbro fuel pump

Wheels
-------
Stock 2009 Rims
Toyo Proxes CF1, 235/45/17 for daily duties

Yet to be installed
------------------
Kartboy short shifter and shifter bushings
Ferodo DS2500 pads
Goodridge braided brake lines
Grimmspeed 3port boost solenoid

So off to ASG I went (28/6) and Cash & Sean did their magic and two weeks later came out with the following:

Peak Power: 263 HP
Peak Torque: 374 Nm

I was dreaming for around 280HP and 400Nm but given that the solenoid was stuffed and the stock one was used, boost tapered off from 4800rpm which may have accounted for these numbers.

I do like the fat torque curve, the car goes and pulls hard from 3500.

Hopefully with the new boost solenoid the boost will hold more longer and I'll have abit more gain up top. Also hoping Sean can play with the torque curve a bit more.

Never the less, very happy with how it pulls right now and after the suspension bits goes in, it should drive even better.

Will get to test it out properly at the first no limits event coming up next month.

Thanks for reading
