Ahh... I guess a bit more.. But like anything depends what you go for. Brakes for example, Aus brand so hsv or BM would be the same. Intake ran me 1k, but the axel back exhaust was 4k.. So I mean your not going to pay 4k for a muffler on a Rex.

I planned and budgeted every mod I planned to do, it's not going to be like the Rex where it was in shops more than on the road.

When I bought the car I knew I wouldn't be happy with stock and spent a year figuring out what I wanted to do and then purchased everything at once. It's good in practice but we all have budgets.

In short.. Yeah the extras are a bit more, but you also get more with the from stock so I don't need to worry about the drivetrain, internals, suspension (thou I will put springs on).

In terms of cost to run, I had my e46 for 3 years and budgeted 3k pa to maintain. In total I spent about 1.5k in 3 years. So the servicing aspect isn't anymore expensive as a jap car.
