Default Gopro Black 3+ shooting video from inside a car.

G'day, hopefully some of you camera/video/gopro experts can answer this for me.

I have a gopro black 3+ which I have mounted on a suction cup arm on the inside of the passenger window. The arm at full extension places the camera about 200mm inwards from the window.

If the weather is bright and sunny the footage through the windscreen is glarey and shit (inside cabin footage looks perfect).

Overcast conditions and footage outside is fine.

Tried different camera settings, none made any noticeable difference.

Do I need to adjust the arm so the camera sits very close to the passenger window that it's mounted on so it's exposed to more light?
This is the last experiment before I give up and just pray for cloudy days when I use the camera.

Am I expecting too much from any camera to film in these conditions or am I just doing it wrong?

This is the angle I am trying for.

Cheers.

P.S. Anyone who suggests I go and buy a Bullet HDpro2 - go fuck thyself.
