Been driving it for a couple days now and it's great. Except the previous owner has fitted a wanky turbosmart
BOV.
I have noticed that when driving conservatively (changing around 2.5-3k rpm) that there is an audible flutter (I assume this is compressor surge). However when driving more spiritedly and changing whilst on boost, there is no flutter- just the
ppppsssssshhhhhhttttttt of the
BOV.
Could this be due to that fact the
BOV is set so that it will only be opened when certain PSI's are reached, and that when driving conservatively it is remaining closed and causing the air to go back to turbo and cause surge?
If this is likely the case I'll be removing it asap.
