Minor thread revival here, but after a long time scratching heads, both by myself and the Subaru mechanics as to where my slow leak is, it's been found that the rear of the sump has a seep. The part that I'm finding confusing is that if it's seeping from there, the oil level must be higher than where the sump bolts to the block? I'm running 4.5L in a twin scroll sump for reference. Any help?

See post 42 and 46 which has some images showing different year model and styles of oil pans.

Now if I look at a photo of my own, it looks like the sump in post 46 which is a EJ253 na sump. Anyone else see the similarities? Anyway... If this is the case, then it seems I've been running too much oil I think as NA take 4 litres.
