Default Rear diff center diagnosis

Hey guys. Long time lurker first time wrx owner.

Firstly when I bought the car I noticed a few knocks and noises coming from the rear. I got it diagnosed by pedders and got my rear bushes, control arms and passenger drive shaft replaced mainly due to precautions. The only noise that remained upon getting the car back was a knock upon accelerating rapidly or taking your foot completely off the accelerator when at speed.

The manager at pedders said it was my rear diff center and it was okay to drive over holidays as long as I baby it (as I did) unfortunately I had to drive it to Melbourne and back (I live in Sydney) and although I didn't stress the diff I have noticed the backlash is much more severe and as I go over speed bumps the rear of the car now makes a terrible noise unless taken slowly. Is there any possibility of a suspension issue that pedders has pushed aside and blamed on a trade that isn't there's to avoid work or does this sound common?

Is there anyway to confirm or disprove what could be wrong without having to pay people an extreme amount of money. Any help appreciated.
