Does anyone know if the early 4.111 5SMT transmission have the same CV shaft splines as the 3.9 for example?

I have completed putting together my GC8 track car and the front CV shafts seam to be a looser fit on the gearbox spline than the rear diff is. Also, although it has a plated front LSD, which are notchy, this seams to have a lot of clunking going on when turning at low speeds. This all goes away at higher speeds or under power. I have tried the fitment of a spare CV shaft on a spare 4.111 ratio box and it is also a loose fit but I think that all of my shafts are from 3.9 ratio boxes. When I loose I mean that the CV shaft can be seen to move if you wobble it by hand.

Any advice would be appreciated.
