Hate to throw a spanner here but, assuming a stereo amp, then isn't the preferred method to run each coil off a single channel. Bridging never really develops twice the power and also just means less dampening.
To get really tricky you run one coil out of phase and swap the input? Or is that an AC trick only?
Or am I not helping here?
