Tried to find my boost leak this morning. Couldn't find anything obvious. Instead unplugged the fuel pressure solenoid valve etc and tried to ensure it was correctly plumbed. After pulling it out o realized that I couldn't find clear instructions on how to reassemble it.
I think that I got it though as I now have -16 instead of -5 idle vacuum.
Mao also played around with some idle settings for me. We ended up raising the idle speed to 1000rpm which seems to have smoothed a lot of it out.
I will now start accumulating the break in kms and some logging. Once I get over 750kms or so I will start bringing in some boost.
It is funny hearing the big turbo whine even though I am barely establishing positive pressure and staying below 3500rpm.
On the topic for fuel pumps, I notice that my tuner has set the base fuel pressure at 45.1. Whilst it is at 100% on start up the idle is very smooth. Once it drops then the idle roughens up slightly.
