Update.

Developed shuddering in my front rotors (dba4000's) again (four months after skimming them). So I gave Greg at GSL a call and he reckons swapping pads in and out for racing especially the Pagids being a ceramic compound has probably contributed to the issue.

So these arrived shortly after. Pads are the Forza FR6 race pad which also seem to be very user friendly on the street so far. They sit second from the top of their range in track pads. They were $280 to my door, front set only. The pads will be left in for street & track rather than swapping every race.



Comparison of my old Pagids next to the FR6's, I reckon the FR6's are a narrow pad. The pagids next to them have done 2500 km of street driving and 150+ race laps and still have plenty of meat on them. Their reputation for low pad/rotor wear seems to be true. I only removed the Pagids because the braking performance at the end of last season fell away slightly so in usual fashion I replaced everything rather than starting with fluid etc.



When the Forza pads are done I will try the Pagids again with fresh fluid and see how they go. I have read that the Pagids are a great pad until about half way through their meat then they stop tolerating heat and performance drops away. If the FR6's get anywhere near the life that the Pagids did I will probably stick with them. Otherwise the only other brand I would be interested in experimenting with are the PFC (Performance Friction Compound) brand.

The FR6's pulled the car up very nicely at the track on Sunday, initial bite is not as savage as the pagids and they lack a little feel, but for the money I was impressed by the performance.

Pagids cost nearly twice as much and are not easy to bed in (legally). The FR6's were easy to break in.

Sexy time! Probably should have given the KW's a lick before the money shot.
