Symptoms besides the blueish/grey smoke on cold start up and the black stuff on the ground are a little hesitation at part throttle but when you floor it it pulls smoothly through the rpms but makes no boost till about 4500rpm, 1000rpm later than previously. There is not much boost to speak of, it feels kind of like a stock STi now.
When you shut it down and listen carefully you can hear gurgling and bubbling coming from the turbo. I've spoken to a few people today and they reckon it sounds like the turbo has done it seals and is haemorrhaging oil through everything.
I am not holding my breath on the ringlands, I'm sure knowing my luck I will be delivered the double whammy when I get to Racetorque in a week or so for the diagnosis.
