I went the other way, Subaru to EVO VII and you are trying to compare very different cars and their power / torque delivery. To be honest you have the best bottom end and drivetrain to start with so that is a good start.

The equivalent to am Evo9 turbo would be like a GTPS02, or if you want to get more into it a VF36 / VF37 which are twinscroll. Both work great with factory TMIC setups.
