And turbo sizing comes into it aswell. 250+kw on a smaller turbo operating out if its efficiency range is gonna be WAY hotter than 250+kw on a turbo thats smack bang in the middle of its efficiency range at that exact same power level.

Compressor efficency is basically how much of the turbine energy is actually used by the compressor to compress the air VS heat it. Universal laws of gas means compressing air makes its hotter, you cant get away from that fact. But the more efficient the compressor is running, the less added heat will be generated in doing so. Extreme cases you might only be operating at like 50-60% efficiency or less, which is pretty poor and makes very hot air.
