Default Clean your wing

A nice rear spoiler has always been a go-fast add on for any car having sporty credentials. However, keeping them clean and shiny has always been down low on the list. Autoglym will show you how to tackle the horror areas that are usually hidden away, sight unseen.

Remove the spoiler. Usually the bolts holding it down are hidden behind interior trims. Luckily in this case, the bolts are exposed and in plain sight.

With the area under the spoiler feet exposed, inspect the grime. It is not advisable to pressure wash the dirt off as water could seep inside the cabin and trim. This could cause further problems.

Spray a moderate amount of Engine and Machine Cleaner on to the dirty surfaces – enough to get the grime a bit runny, but not enough to have it start dripping everywhere.

Agitate the dirt with a brush, then gently hose down the mounting surfaces. Repeat step 3 until you are satisfied with the cleanliness.

Use the same steps on the spoiler’s mounting ends to ensure the mating surfaces are clean.

Dry with an Autoglym Hi-Tech Microfibre Drying towel or Aqua Dry synthetic leather chamois.

Carefully mount the spoiler back for that spic and span look.
