A CAI can give better air flow so there is a chance that the motor will
run a bit lean, so a chance of blowing.
My advice then, as above, as you are a do it yourselfer, leave the
CAI to when you have the tune done.
The my99 had 440cc injectors, up from the 375cc (?) of the my97-
I reckon sufficient to handle the fuel needs of a VF34. For
the 1 in a 1000 chance you have a thirsty setup, the tuner will turn
down the boost to keep it safe. Any loss in power will be negligible.
